(Session Began late Aug 14)
Looking over the photos of locations, the group tried to place where and when the photos were taken. All photos were taken during the daytime, and none of them showed anyone entering or exiting the sites. Telloria pointed out she knew a few friends at NYU
that could examine the photos for tampering or modification.
Noonien took pictures of the women in the ‘Morphs’ folder, while Janice wanted to compare the photos in that folder, to the books of missing women contained down at The Hideaway
The group called it a night, stopping to make copies (3 sets) of all the photos, then breaking up for the evening. Teri headed to Central Park
to seek council with The Summer Court
At Central Park, Teri met up with Aspen
, who had been dancing in the Moonlight. She told Teri she could pass through to where The Summer Court was. She entered into a setting in Central Park, fresh out of the pointillism painting “Summer in the Park With George”
Teri saw Titania and the Summer Lady sitting in a Gazeebo, talking, while Lady Ariel
was in a field tossing a Frisbee to several full grown panthers. Teri walked over and waited for Lady Ariel’s attention, who then invited her to sit down on a nearby blanket. After exchanging the proper etiquettes and protocols, Teri brought up the ‘Possible Morphs’. Lady Ariel said she had some information on this, but terms must be met first. In exchange for her information, Teri offered up three favors in exchange for her information on the ‘Morph’.
She then described a creature called The Gypsy Morph, the repository of Pure Magic, the magic of both Spring and Autumn (less the Queens, who’s power is manifest in Lady Lyla
and Lady Annona
. During her explanation she pointed out that The Gypsy Morph traditionally was hosted in a female, from her birth, to her death, a new host chosen based upon Ley Lines. The only times that the Morph was hosted in a male usually signaled an unstoppable apocalypse (such as the Fall of Rome). She also said that the Fae cannot detect the Gypsy Morph, and that the Fae believed the Elfstones, specifically the Seeking Stones (blue, 3 stones) could be used to detect the Gypsy Morph.
At The Hideaway, Janice began comparing the photos of ‘Possible Morphs’ to those contained in the Missing Persons Books maintained by the facility. Of the 45 girls in the photos, 15 of the girls were in the books, all from the Five Boroughs, all within the last year, though there were no racial, criminal, educational, or financial connections.
Returning home, Telloria had a talk with Silvermist
who had been humming “Night Song”
a song Telloria attributes to her Goddess Elune, along with her hair being white and Elune’s Mark over her right eye. Silvermist, when asked, explained that Telloria took her as her vassal, and that she heard the song then. She then called Elune “Nice” and “had great faith in Telloria” and that “Elune wants you to deal with The Spider Queen in the Sewers”. The next morning, Telloria went to NYU, and left the pictures with friends in the Graphics and Photography Department.
The morning of the 15th, Noonien met with Agent Miranda Walker at a coffee shop. He showed her the phone, and told her they found it in the home of Shayleigh. She then examined it, saying it had apparently been erased, and offering to have her associates examine it more in depth. Examining the photos of ‘Possible Morphs’ she did not recognize any of them. Noonien asked her to have the office examine them, possibly identify the girls.
That afternoon, the group rendezvoused at The Shop Around The corner. After ordering food, Janice opened the discussion sharing the 15 names she discovered, and their age range and missing in the last year. Teri then interjecting regarding The Gypsy Morph and wanted to know if anyone could obtain the birth records for the girls, upon further examination, one of the 15 was identified as Jessica Murphy, 22yr old prostitute, daughter of Ellistrae, and victim of The Bloodtaker.
Paul supplied the Police report detailing the accidental death of Sharon Lee, who was hit by a City Bus, 3 weeks ago, pronounced DOA, ruled an accidental death. /the body was claimed from the Morgue, but Paul was unable to find out who claimed the body. Teri found it odd that The Summer Hand was killed by a City Bus, Noonien pointing out that she might have not been killed, the death faked, and that why ‘redacted’ claimed the body.
Telloria, convinced that the Gypsy Morph was not relevant to the Mantles and the loss of the Summer and Winter Hands. Janice pointed out that however, the Gypsy Morph, with its undetectability, might be able to hide the Mantles.
At this point, Miranda contacted Noonien, informing him that it belonged to Agent Carrie Minnervini, who was assigned to a job in Little Italy and that all contact with her had been lost. She suspected that Agent Minervini was involved in something regarding the Luciano Crime Syndicate. She found it interesting that one of the 15 missing girls was Jessica Murphy. She then informed him the only things recovered from the phone were contact numbers for Cameron Tam and Jane Blue. Noonien then shared most of this information. Noonien advised examining Ms. Minervini’s apartment. Teri was interested when Agent Blue and Agent Tam’s contact information were mentioned as being recovered from the phone.
Meanwhile, Telloria received a call from her friend regarding the pictures of the locations, telling her they were all made of composites in a computer. He also discovered writing in each picture on the infrared level. He said it was not in a language he knew and trying to read it gave him a headache. He then emailed the scans of the pictures on that level to Telloria. As Telloria looked at these, Doug heard noise in The Symphony, bad noise, and after examining the writing, identified it as Diabolical writing. This concerned Doug. She advised her friend to destroy all copies.
Teri then pointed out that whoever was in Shayleigh’s apartment and threw the knife at Telloria, fleeing through the Never Never, planted the phone and Folders of photos. The group then departed for Little Italy, getting a table and lunch at Baimonte’s, the restaurant beneath Shayleigh’s apartment. Telloria, with coaching from Teri, got Silvermist to go check out Agent Minervini’s apartment.
Silvermist returned shortly saying the place smelled of death and was a mess. Telloria asked if the lights were on and Silvermist confirmed some were. She also described a spot in the floor that radiated ‘Winter Cold’. Silvermist was also talking slowly, which Telloria figured mean the dewdrop fairy was scared. The group decided to remain in the restaurant for a little over an hour, finishing their meals. During this time, Lucky Lucciano entered, accompanied by Alice Anguis and Illidan Stormrage, who are met by the owner, and guided to a back room. The group decided to choose the better part of valor, and then departed, along with 1/2 the restaurant’s guests.
Paul pointed out that it was a tad odd that Vito Giuccione was not present, though he and Telloria and Janice did agree that Vito could already be in the back room. Paul and Teri also did point out that they all appeared without their security entourages, though they could have been the other half of the restaurant patrons (aka the ones who did no leave). Teri proposed that it was possible that Lucciano did not know that Illidan was the Shadowcloak, though the others thought that was slim.
That night, the group gathered in Paul’s car, as Telloria made her way to break in to Agent Minervini’s apartment. Stealthily, she made her way to the apartment, opening the door, the overwhelming smell of rotting corpses hitting her senses and causing her to empty the contents of her stomach into a vomit bag. She entered the apartment, closing the door behind her. The apartment was trashed, blood on the walls, obviously signs of struggle and the apartment being tossed in view. Searching the apartment quickly, Telloria found the bodies for four men, dressed in suits with various automatic pistols, each shot with a single shot in the heart. A picture of Cameron, Jane, Miranda, and Agent Minervini was discovered, it being of the four of them dressed up for a night on the town in a bar/pub which the writing on the window behind them Telloria surmised was Mikh’s Pub. She also found evidence that something had been kept behind the picture before the frame was destroyed. Telloria found some hairs in the drain of the shower, that she thought might be Agent Minervini’s. She also discovered in the bedroom a Male grey tabby cat and evidence in the apartment that it lived there (litter box, food, water, etc.). The cat ‘adopted’ Telloria before she left. Telloria left, bringing the cat with her and returned to Paul’s car. At this point, Telloria noticed that Silvermist was missing.
Teri called a cab, the others riding in Paul’s car, to Telloria’s apartment, the cat mewling and crying, trying to crawl under the seats. Telloria then cleaned up and shared with everyone what she found. Janice identified the runes on the wall as Silence. When Telloria shared the picture of the four girls, Doug pointed out that Mikh’s Pub is the location his contacts placed the sighting of Maeve. After Telloria. Was done supplying her information, Noonien contacted Agent Walker.
Noonien then informed her about the bodies and damage, and the removal of the cat. She thanked him and said she would have some agents secure the scene and begin their own investigation. She also told him the cat’s name was Mr. Jingles.
Teri excused herself and entered the bathroom, texting the season 1 group, “Hey gang its me, new info and danger alert. Contact ASAP” which got quick responses of “What Now?”. Reply, “Found evidence all you under surveillance. Agent Minervinni, missing, bodies in apartment.” Jane asked Teri to call her back. Teri called Jane, learning that Carrie probably was the one who shot the men, and that it was Carrie’s apartment, but the cat belonged to Carrie’s sister, and that the picture was taken at the end of a ‘Girls Night Out’ after an evening at Studio 54 and that Carrie picked Mikh’s Pub specifically.
Mr. Jingles climbed in Noonien’s lap, begging to be petted. Noonien accommodated and Janice noticed that the cat’s collar was moving oddly. Taking a look at the collar, Noonien discovered a Microdot hidden in the cat’s collar.
Telloria, Noonien, and Janice went to the NYU Biology Department, while Paul and the others (minus Teri who was called away to assist Jane and Cameron in some consulting) to track down Carrie’s sister to return the cat.
Without the cat, Silvermist returned to Telloria’s shoulder. Arriving at NYU the group made their way to the Bio Labs and placed the microdot under a powerful microscope, discovering it contained surveillance footage of Shayleigh and Ellistrae meeting with Maeve and Aurora at Mikh’s Pub dated July 18, 2016, time stamped 8:05 PM – 10:05 PM. At the 8:38 mark, the 4 are joined by a woman who Janice dubbed Wannabe Maleficent and departs at 9:12 PM. Noonien recognized Wannabe Maleficent and recalled members of the Night Eyes witnessing an event at a ball involving the woman in question becoming a dragon after a Snow White type situation they assumed was part of the entertainment. Telloria then printed out all the photos.
A brief discussion regarding sources of Rune magic ensued, with Janice tossing out several possible sources of Rune Magic – various Norse and Celtic gods, Jotun, etc. She also referenced Thor Mjolnerson, the mortal who bears Thor’s Hammer, and runs the Scandinavian East Coast Museum, and heads the Cult of Thor in NYC. Noonien found her descriptions of this man and his being unhinged quite amusing.
