Compel: Yggdrasil won’t let me go
A month has passed since your time as Telloria’s Evil Stepmother and you agreement with ‘The Horned King’. Since returning to New York, you’ve spent the time catching up with your patients, and organizing things at The Hideaway. You are busy transcribing your notes of your last patient into your computer when the door to your office…disappears.
Stepping from the black portal where your office door was, emerge Lady Lyla and Lady Annona. Lyla appears to be seething. Before you can move, you find yourself magically bound to your chair.
“You used us both, Ms. Sanderson, and I do not appreciate that. Neither of us do. You professed to be helping us, but all the while you sought to steal our power. Did you think neither of us would notice? Poor, deluded Valkyrie, you did not realize that all our power, whatever it may be, is a part of us. By taking some of our power and making it yours, you have bound yourself to us deeper than even your binding to The All-Father.”
Lyla laughs, while Annona remains silent, “Now, we all know how much you loathe bindings and want your freedom. Almost as much as you seek power. So, I have a bargain for you. Perform one simple task for us, and you can keep the power you took, no strings attached. A simple task actually, one you probably would have been dragged in to by that Prophecy anyhow. So we have a bargain?”
You contemplate your options briefly before agreeing. The two Ladies offer little choice.
Lyla seems to calm a bit, and you feel yourself able to move again. “Good. Very Good. The Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien has been stolen form its Cintran protector, right here in New York. You know them more commonly as The Elfstones. Yes, the ones in your prophecy.”
Lyla looks out the window behind you before continuing, “Whoever stole them seeks to use them to find a being of Pure Magic, The Gypsy Morph. I see you recognize that term as well. Good. Less explanation required then. Several parties are interested in the stones besides those who stole them. Many powers are at play and ironically, they have all involved your ‘companions’ in this one way or another.”
Lyla sighs and sits. Annona finally speaks, “What Lyla is trying to say is this. We charge you with finding the stones and ensuring they either are returned to their protector or to us and that they do not fall into the hands of the other powers which seek them. Do this and you are free of us.”
Lyla seems to close her eyes as Annona continues, “The protector has arranged to meet with those involved, or least those she knows are involved, tomorrow, at 1PM at The Shop around The Corner. Attend that meeting and do everything you can to recover the Stones.”
And as quickly as they arrived, the Ladies are gone, your closed door back where it should be. You swear for a few minutes before regaining your composure. You finish your work and leave for your apartment. The next day you find yourself walking into The Shop around the Corner to see Telloria, Teri, Noonien, and Douglas, soon joined by the remainder of the ‘prophecy group’
Compel: Actions have Consequences
A month ago you were traveling through The NeverNever, fighting dragons and dancing on mailboxes, all very familiar, though the whole ‘Princess’ thing did kind of knock you for a loop. Now, a month later, you have been working tirelessly to makeup all the work lost on your thesis while you were away. As you rush to the lab, you are stopped by Michelle Anderssen, as always looking resplendent in her security uniform.
Michelle smiles, “Telloria. Dean Spengler wants to see you about something. He’s waiting for you in his office in the Main Sciences Building”.
You nod to Michelle, and quickly depart. As you make your way hastily to the Sciences Building, your heart races. The head of the Science department wants to see you. This can not be good.
Dr. Spengler’s secretary is conspicuously missing as you arrive at his office. You walk up to his closed office door and knock. “Enter” you hear from inside. You enter and close the door behind you, standing in front of the Dean’s desk with far less courage than you had facing dragons and orcs.
“Ah, yes, Ms Stormrage. I see Ms Anderssen found you. Good. Please, sit down. you look like a deer caught in headlights”
Dr. Spengler smiles as you sit. “I hear you have been working diligently to make up for the time you missed on your Doctoral Thesis. And still doing your TA work. Your professors speak highly of you, and considering your side work,” he looks at your face as he says this, registering the look of surprise you try to stifle, “its amazing you have completed as much as you have. And then to have Dr. Anguis disappear as head of your department threw everything into chaos for everyone, so that must have made it even more difficult”
He sips some coffee form his cup, “Recently, a friend of mine in the NYPD contacted me regarding you. At first I thought it was regarding that incident a few months ago, however, it was not why Elissa called. She wanted to recruit you for your special talents as she put it. So, I have a proposal for you Ms. Stormrage.”
Seeing your silence, he continues, “Seeing how the head of NYPD UCU thinks you might be able to assist them in something they are dealing with, AND the fact that regardless of how diligent you are, you did miss a month of classes and work, I propose this. I will, as Dean of Sciences, sign off on a work study to replace your Thesis and missed TA work. That work study will be with the NYPD UCU. Is this amicable to you?”
You nod, unable to speak. The impending end of your education having loomed before you since you got back form The NeverNever was about to be wiped away.
“Good. Captain Mazza has arranged for you to meet your ‘partner’ at The Shop around The Corner at 1PM this afternoon. I expect you to continue to comport yourself as the model student you have been here on this work study. Oh, your partner’s name is Paul Swanson.”
You smile at that, knowing Paul perosnalyl. “Very well then,” Dr Spengler continues, “Good luck Ms. Stormrage. And I will see you at Graduation after all it seems”
You leave the office and, with nothing else to do, return to the lab for the remaining time, fiddling with various experiments you had going on.
As 1PM rolls around, you find yourself entering The Shop Around The Corner, and sit down. Shortly thereafter, as you wait for Paul, the rest of the rest of the ‘Prophecy Group’ enter and seem to gravitate to your table. Before you can even say anything to them about leaving, Paul enters and makes his way over to join you.
Compel: Trying To Save Everyone
A month has passed since your jaunt through cartoon land. You knew the NeverNever was odd, but that whole experience was even new for you. Since returning to New York, you’ve had some free time on your hands. Nothing seems to be exploding around you or wanting to eat your face, and Summer seems far less demanding than Winter.
Most of your time has been spent with your art. Sketches, paintings, the Show at MOMA was a huge success and people are clamoring for Foster Originals. Thankfully, an old friend has returned and been a big help. Susanna Hoffman has spent quite alot of time catching up with you and even modeled for several of your paintings.
You’ve just finished the final touches on a sketch drawn from memory of Dragonfly, when the phone rings. You hear Bob answer it downstairs, and he calls up to you, “Teri! Telephone!” You smirk before picking up the phone.
On the other end is Serena Elessidil. You’ve not heard from, nor seen her and David, since Andromeda and Siobhan’s wedding, so you are a bit surprised to hear from her. “Teri? Oh thank the Seldarine you’re there. I cant reach any of the others. David’s been injured. He’s unconscious in the hospital. Someone broke into my apartment and he tried to stop them. The stole the Stones!”
You calm Serena down, not understanding some of what she is talking about. “I was out having lunch with my sister, Tauriel, when O got a call from the Police. A neighbor had called them. Several females, clad head to toe in black, apparantly broke into my apartment. David was there, as he was between projects. He fought them and they shot him with a crossbow of all things, or so the police say. Poisoned in fact. The doctors say he will be alright though. But whoever these thieves were, they took the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien, The Elfstones! I need to recover those stones or I’m a dead woman.”
She takes a breath, but not long enough for you to get a word in edgewise. “I cant reach any of the others – Charles, Romy, Cameron, V.S., they all are out of town. Deloris said V.S. and Cameron were doing some favor for you? Regardless, you’re the only one I can turn to. Well, you and my sister. She’s sending someone specialized in this kind of thing to help, some wizard type named Alexander Grougal. She seems confident in him, but I want someone I know and trust on this and that is you. Please Teri, I need your help. You’re my only hope.”
Surprisingly, you find yourself agreeing. “Thank you Teri. I can never repay you for this. Tauriel has arranged for me to meet with this Mr. Grougal at The Shop Around the Corner at 1PM this afternoon. I’ll meet you there.”
As 1PM rolls around, you enter The Shop Around The Corner, and to your surprise, see Telloria seated at a table along with Grougal. Knowing Serena is coming to meet with you and Grougal, you join them at the table. Shortly thereafter, the other members of the ‘Prophecy Group’ arrive and join you.
Compel: Friends in really low places
A month has passed since your return from The NeverNever. The trip itself proved to be quite…enlightening, and you have spent quite a bit of time thinking on the events that occurred in the outer reaches of that ‘realm’. Several long discussions with Miranda later, you believe you have garnered all you will from your experiences there.
Your progress at University was obviously affected by the month’s absence while you were in The NeverNever, but you, being the superior man you are, have already caught up all your work, much to the amazement of your professors. You are just leaving the Bobst Library, having completed another paper for Dr. Fairlane’s Egyptology class, when a darting form catches your attention. You focus and recognize, somewhat to your surprise, Aliyar, Cymrial’s daughter. The one who had vanished and not been seen since she joined Sam Hill in the investigation into Agent Minnervini’s disappearance. Carefully, senses on alert, you move closer to determine what she wants.
“Noonien, thank The Dark Maiden I found you. We need to talk, but not here. Meet me in one hour at Mikh’s Pub in the Seaport. I believe you know the address. I have valuable information for you.” Aliyar then vanishes into the shadows, a trick of her kind you wish you yourself could learn.
An hour later, you find yourself once again outside Mikh’s Pub in South Street Seaport. The Irish Pub is quite busy, even with the hour approaching Midnight. Music and voices can be heard outside on the sidewalk. You make your way inside, and find Aliyar sitting at a table, along with another young woman whom you recognize, Agent Carrie Minnervini. You take a seat with the two women, your curiosity over this meeting growing.
Aliyar smiles as you sit, and she motions to the bar, signalling for drinks, with the air of one who frequented this facility and knew the staff quite well. Shortly after, Mikhayla Greine, the owner, arrives, bearing three large mugs of her famous Dark Ale. She places one before each of you, smiles at Aliyar, then departs back to tend bar.
“Noonien, may I introduce a good friend of mine,” Aliyar begins, “Carrie Minnervini. Carrie, this is Noonien Singh, the man I spoke to you about.” Before you can even register surprise on your face at Aliyar and Minnervini knowing one another, she continues. “I beg your forgiveness, Noonien, for the deception when you came to my mother for assistance in locating Carrie here. She and I have known each other for quite some time, but I could not let Mother know that. And at the time, I did not realize the depths of my mother’s involvement in what Carrie, and inadvertently you, were looking into. Please, hear her out, and when she is done, we can discuss things.”
Agent Minnervini smiles and nods to Aliyar, before looking at you, “I must say, Mr. Singh…” and you hold up your hand, asking her to call you Noonien, “Very well, Noonien then. As I was saying, Noonien, what I have to tell you, involves you, and several of your associates. I know of your…involvement with Miranda, and were it not for my friendship with her, or with Aliyar here, both who seem to hold you in high regards, I would not be here this moment.”
She takes a sip of her ale, gathering herself to continue, “As you are aware, Miranda and I work for the same Government Organization. I was assigned to investigating a Person of Interest in the Criminal Underworld, who called himself The Shadowcloak. The being had been invovled in several operations that involved conflicts with both the operatives of Lucciano and Escobado, as well as several run ins with several mysterious figures who had recently been opposing those two. From your reaction, I can see you recognize all those names, so, I shall skip the inconsequential explanations of all of their entanglements.”
“Recently, The shadowcloak had a meeting with Lucciano. While I was not present at the meeting, I have learned the deatials. I had intended on being there, having insuated myself into the staff of The Restaurant the meeting was to take place at, but, several unsavory gentlemen arrived at my apartment hours before the meeting and forced me to disappear. Anyhow, I ramble. At that meeting, Lucciano ‘won over’ The Shadowcloak’s alliegance. Or maybe not alliegience, but at least the guarantee that The shadowcloak and he would cease hostilities. In exchange for information The Shadowcloak desperately wanted, Lucciano was promised the support of The Shadowcloak and his allies in any and all conflicts with something called The Fomor. And this is where Aliyar is involved”
Aliyar picks up where Minnervini left off. “Carrie dealt with her unsavory gentlemen, and contacted me for assistance in disappearing and help continuing her investigation. As her friend and ally, I agreed,” you hide your interest as you have never heard one of ALiyar’s kind call anyone friend, ally perhaps, but not friend. “I put her in contact with an associate of my, Elarra, who took her somewhere safe, somewhere even Mother does not know of. While she was protected, I continued her investigation for her, discovering that the information given to The shadowcloak involved a magical artifact called The Elfstones. This of course, raised several alarms to me, as I had heard of these artifacts before, Mother having learned of them and having sought them for many years, believing they may hold some key in returning her ‘home’ as she always put it. Which explains my other discovery, Mother is an ally of The Shadowcloak. Only through The Dark Lady’s graces, was I able to concel myself when I came upon her meeting with him. The two spoke of an alliance in finding these stones and in using them. Knowing Mother, she will double cross The shadowcloak at the first opportunity, and I expect he plans on the same.”
Minnervini interrupts, “Until this is dealt with, I cannot contact my superiors to report in. It is only Aliya’s friend’s magic that protects me from detection now and I need to remain near Aliyar or her friend or the magics The Shadowcloak is using to find me will succeed. I believe, at least from what I have gleaned form my association with Miranda, that The Shadowcloak obtained several personal object of mine, as well as physical samples as Miranda would put it, and is using those to find me. So, in addition to Aliyar’s request, I ask you Noonien, to please inform Miranda of my status and let her know I will report in as soon as I am able.”
Aliya sighs, “Yes, my request, and the reason for involving you. You know Mother, and I cannot conceal my knowledge form her for long around her, hence my disappearance when you asked me to assist in the search for Carrie. And I am sorry about Sam. Several operatives of The Shadowcloak ambushed me and him while I was taking him to Carrie so he could then perhaps arrange a meeting between you and her. But my request. I’ve learned that the Elfstones have been found…and stolen. I do not know who took them, but I do know that the person who possessed them is arranging for someone outside local law enforcement to find them. Through Elarra’s contacts on the surface, I know that these people happen to be those you have worked with several times before in the past several months, and therefore I think it prudent you be involved as well. They will be meeting with the former owner at 1PM at the Shop around The Corner, tomorrow. That is all I know and have, for now. If I learn anything more, I shall let you know. I ask you to do this, Noonien. This artifact cannot fall into the hands of Mother or her allies, or the hands of The Shadowcloak. It consequences could be dire for everyone in this city if not worse.”
You nod, and after moments though, find yourself agreeing. Agent Minnervini gives you a secure number to contact her at, asking you to provide it to Miranda and no one else, and to use it if you ened. Aliya rises, embracing you in a friendly hug, “Thank you Noonien. Carrie and I should be going before Elarra’s enchantment ends. May The Dark Maiden watch over you” and the two then depart.
As 1PM rolls around the next day, you enter The Shop Around The Corner, and, see Telloria seated at a table along with Grougal and Teri. You join them at the table, much to their surprise. Shortly thereafter, the other members of the ‘Prophecy Group’ arrive and join you.
Compel: Allied with Stone, Wind and Fire
A month has passed since you returned from The NeverNever. You spent most of that time, dealing with maintaining your role as Douglas, along with a significant amount of time spent working at The Intrepid Museum, both assisting the Seneschal of Michael’s Tether, as well as some security work in the Museum itself.
It is during one of these security passes, during a crowded afternoon, that you hear a sound in the Symphony. You quickly look around and see two young, strikingly attractive women, walking and talking with each other, and purposefully heading your way. The first, has grey eyes and long black hair, and is dressed conservatively in a grey pantsuit with a white blouse, with a silver pendant of an owl around her neck. The other, wears tight jeans, a black Earth, Wind, and Fire T-Shirt, and a black leather jacket. Her eyes are hidden by a pair of ‘John Lennon’ sunglasses, and her hair is cut in an almost boyish bob. The two women seem quite friendly with one another, and as they approach, the sound sin the Symphony grow louder. They stop as they reach you, and you recognize the girl in the jeans and jacket, Gabriel. How her presence on the physical plain is not making more noise in The Symphony, you do not know, but her presence is unmistakeable.
“Ah, Douglas,” Gabriel says as the two look at you, “May we steal a moment of your time?”
You nod, there not being much else you can do. You follow the two across the landing deck of the Intrepid, taking up a spot behind an F-16. The woman in the pant suit looks askance at Gabriel, who smiles and nods. “I can tell you are curious about several things, Douglas. Let me set your mind at ease. You do not hear me in The Symphony as you should due to the presence of my friend here. Her name, if you were curious, is Athena.” Gabriel nods at your recognition of her companion’s name. “Her presence and her kind’s closeness to the Mortal Realms helps to mute my ‘trumpeting’ in the Symphony.” Gabriel giggles at her pun.
“She is here as a favor to me. I am here to charge you with a task, and yes, I have already spoken to Michael and he has loaned you to my service for the duration of this task.”
Gabriel pauses as a family of tourists passes by. “An artifact of the Fae has been rediscovered recently. It is an item which can lead to great danger or great salvation, depending upon whose hands hold this artifact. Normally, such matters would not concern us, however, we have learned that Several diabolicals have become interested in obtaining this artifact. There are more than likely other supernatural forces who have taken an interest in this artifact as well and you will deal with them accordingly.”
Athena looks at Gabriel, who nods, “Our time grows short, so I shall make this quick. The artifact in question is colloqually known as The Elfstones. Good, I see form your face you understand why I chose you for this task. We know of no less than three diabolicals interested in this item – a Djinn, a Calabim, and a Lillim. We do not know their roles here in the mortal world, nor do we know who their superiors are, much less what their interest in this artifact is. However, we cannot allow them to obtain the item.”
Athena seems impatient, and you can hear the music from Gabriel’s presence growing within the Symphony. One of my most dependable soldiers has arranged for you to meet with the former protector of The Elfstones, tomorrow, at 1PM. I believe you are familiar with the location of the meeting, The Shop around The Corner. Meet with the Protector, and do whatever you must to recover the Elfstones and prevent the diabolicals from obtaining them. You will keep me apprised by reporting your progress, daily, to one of my Seraphim. Here is her contact information," she hands you a business card for one Ruth Firewell, with an address in 55 Central Park west. “Ruth has also been told to provide you with whatever assistance you may require.”
Gabriel then turns and begins to walk away, Athena accompanying her, the two resuming whatever conversation they were carrying on before they stopped to speak to you. With little else to do, you resume your rounds for the day.
At 1PM the next day, you enter The Shop Around The Corner, and to your surprise, Telloria is seated at a table along with Grougal, Teri, and Noonien. Never one to believe in coincidence, you join them and are soon joined by the other members of the ‘Prophecy Group’.
Compel: Wizard Claw of Smaugverrovax
A month ago you were cartooned, spending time as an owl, on a quest like something out of a bad Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or a really bad Disney movie. Since getting back, you’ve worked your ass off. Several short forays into New York’s underground to deal with a gang of trolls that were harassing subway lines along with a renegade Red Court who was trying to form his own cadre of followers without Escobado’s know. Mix in with that continued training on stealth with Tauriel (you really hate paint arrows), your magical training with John, and your ongoing relationship with Noel, and you have next to no time.
Making your way through the labyrinthine halls of The Lair, all you want to do is collapse on your bed and sleep for days. John kept you going on that stupid fire evocation for hours, though to his surprise, you finally got it to work. Your had reaches for the doorknob to your quarters when you hear Tauriel’s voice coming from down the hall calling your name.
You stifle your snarky comment on your lips as you see her face. Never before have you seen her this…worried. Something like fear is written on the elf’s face.
“Grougal. I know you are exhausted, but can we speak, in private for a moment? Please?”
Now you are really worried. She’s never said please before. You open the door and gallantly gesture for her to enter the room before you. She takes a seat at your desk as you close the door behind you.
“Thank you Grougal. Something…dire, has happened. I told John of this and he said you were the one destined to deal with this. He has great faith in you, and so do I. And we both have other reasons for asking you to do this, which I will share after my request is done. However, unlike John, I wont order you to do this, but ask you, as a friend, to handle this for me.”
Tauriel takes a few breaths, waiting for you to agree. Seeing you not protesting, she continues. "My sister, Serena, was protector of a powerful elven artifact, the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien. Since the Cintran Elves existed, the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien were protected by the senior daughter of the Royal House. About 50 years ago, my father’s agents discovered that elements within the nobility sought to possess the the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien. They believed that the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien could be used to reclaim the magic that was lost when we elves became what we are today.
As the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien could only be used by an elf, my father sent my sister and the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien, here to New York City. Under the guise of running from her duties as heir to the throne, Serena left Arborlon under cover of darkness, alone, and made her way to this city. Only Serena and my father knew the truth. I only learned of the truth a few years ago when I ran into Serena during one of my missions for The Lair.
I tell you all of this, because the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien have been stolen. Someone broke into Serena’s apartment in One World Trade, assaulted her human lover, ransacked her place, and stole the Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien. David, her lover, is unconscious in the hospital. The police are investigating the break in, but are unaware of the true nature of what was taken. They might also be a bit reluctant to help as my sister has, well, lets say she’s not been the most upstanding citizen in the eyes of the law, nor has David. Serena has agreed to meet with you, and one other, a friend of hers and an associate of yours, Teri Foster, at 1PM this afternoon at The Shop Around The Corner.
Now, that promised why. In english, Moriquende Ambals en’ Seekien translates into Elf Stones of seeking. I believe you are familiar with those terms?"
Tauriel smiles at your nod of agreement. “Prophecy be damned, I cannot thank you enough for this Grougal. My sister, she is all the family I have now since I gave up my place as Princess of Arborlon to be with John. She too has forsaken her title for David, which gives us both common ground. If the Elfstones fall into the wrong hands, Serena’s life will be forfeit. Complex magic that I cannot even begin to fathom links her life to the stones usage. Please, Grougal, you must find the stones and return them to Serena.”
Tears leak form Tauriel’s eyes and you are amazed. You have never seen her this vulnerable before, nor knew just how much faith she and John had in you. You nod and push through your exhaustion, prepping what gear you might need before heading out to The Shop Around the Corner to meet with Serena Elessidil and apparently Teri as well.
As 1PM rolls around, you enter The Shop Around The Corner, and to your surprise, see Telloria seated at a table. For some strange reason, you feel compelled to join her. Shortly thereafter, Teri arrives, soon followed by the other members of the ‘Prophecy Group’.
Compel: Investigator for the UCU
Its been over a month now since your return from the NeverNever. During that time, Captain Mazza kept your case list rather lite, something that had you worried. This did allow you to put in a little more time with ‘The Kids’ at The House of Life, which seemed to at least make Bast happy.
You’re phone rings just as you are finishing typing up your latest report. Picking it up, Captain Mazza calls you into her office. Entering, she gestures to the seat across form her desk, “Have a seat Detective” On her desk, you notice a copy of your report on your jaunt through The NeverNever, and one about Telloria of all people.
“Detective. Your record since joining the UCU has been exemplary, especially considering your recent…vacation. Now, don’t worry, I, of all people, understand about unscheduled leaves of absence in this world we find ourselves in. We all deal with the things in the Shadows and know how dangerous it can be. "
The captain taps a few keys on her computer keyboard and takes a sip of her coffee before continuing. “During your absence I was forced to re-assign Detective Kelso, which is why your case load has been so light recently. I’ve been trying to find someone suitable to working with you”
Another sip of coffee, “Your reports have detailed those you keep working with on these side projects, the ones from The Prophecy. And one of your ‘teammates’ seems like a good match for you, skill wise anyhow, especially with the new gifts she seems to have gained during your jaunt through Disneyland. So, drawing from precedent established by the 13th Precinct, I’m deputizing Ms. Stormrage, and making her your partner. Keep in mind, she does NOT have a badge. She is a civilian advisor, not a sworn officer of the Law. I expect you to ensure she does not presume powers and authority which are not hers, Detective.”
She looks over her coffee cup to gauge your reaction, “Good, you don’t seem too disappointed there. Therefore we can move on to your first case with your new partner.” A manilla folder is tossed across the desk to you. “I know how much you dislike computers, so, I had this prepped for you all special.”
Inside the folder you find several crime scene photos of a rather upscale apartment. Address listed as one of the exclusive ones in One World Trade Center, registered to one Serena Elessidil. Other resident listed as a David Lyton. Police report details a break in and assault. Lyton apparently came upon those robbing the apartment, and was injured during a fight, shot with some kind of crossbow quarrel lined with poison. Apartment was trashed, several expensive items taken including a silver necklace with three blue stones, several gold rings, a marble statuette of Athena, and other valuable but portable items. Investigators discovered several weapons hidden throughout the apartment. A small unregistered pistol, several swords, and a bow and quiver of arrows. Break in reported by neighbor, one Inarra Carter, Lyton taken to Hospital, unconscious, and has remained so. Also noted is a criminal record for Lyton (Jewel Thief, specializing in Museums and such), as well as several investigations (all inconclusive) into Elessidil’s import/export business.
Captain Mazza watches you look over the folder, “That’s all we have right now. We got this case due to Lyton and Elessidil’s involvement. Several things of the shadowykind have happened to them both and its believed this robbery may be connected. What is not in that folder is that Mr. Lyton, and by association Ms Elessidil, are also known associates of someone you know, Ms. Teri Foster.”
Mazza paused to drink her coffee and study your facial reaction to that tidbit. She then continues, “I’ve taken the liberty of arranging for you and your new partner to meet up to discuss the case somewhere outside of the UCU. Seeing how she is a civilian, and her last time at One PP was not a pleasant one, I thought it might be a little bit easier on you both. So, she is scheduled to meet with you at The Shop Around The Corner, at 1PM this afternoon. I expect nothing but professionalism on this, Paul.”
Mazza then looks at you, before smiling, “Good luck. Dismissed.”
As 1PM rolls around, you find yourself entering The Shop Around The Corner, and see Telloria seated at a table, and she is not alone as you expected. The rest of the ‘Prophecy Group’ is also present.
