The group assembled at The Flame of Knowledge following their fight with Adrika Niranjana in Atlantic City as Dolores was putting away a teapot and cups, telling the group, “You just missed Terri.”
Cameron asked the group what was next and David asked Charles, “How do we kill your girlfriend?”. Charles was taken back by this as V.S. chimed in that doing that would only kill The Host and not Kemmler’s Spirit. Jane asked Charles if he had any Spirit Traps handy. Charles and V.S put their heads together, deducing that Kemmler had Apparently placed his soul within his ghost, something that would require the sponsorship of a powerful entity, which V.S. deduced was Baphomet. The group then dispersed – Charles to the Bobst Library for research, V.S. in his stacks, David departed for Serena Elessidil’s at One World Trade Center, Andromeda went home, and Cameron and Jane went to report in to The Agency.
Arriving at Serena’s, David entered to find Serena sitting in the kitchen, drinking her coffee. David explained to Serena what all had happened, apologizing for accusing her friend of being Ellistrae and asking her if her people had something that could imprison a soul. Serena told him that the Ellcrys, could probably do so, but the soul would need to be brought to the Elvenhome somehow.
Jane contacted The Agency, learning that the Lockdown was finally ended, and that she and Cameron were to report in immediately. Met by Agent Ivanova, Jane and Cameron filled her in on the past events, including the Answers owed to her by Lady Lyla and Jane being required to poison The Leanashidhe as well as the events dealing with Adrika as well as The Master being inside the body of Dr Patricia Fairlane. At this point, and Jane was told that The Director wanted to speak with her.
Entering The Director’s office, Jane took a seat and The Director asked for more information from Jane. Learning that The Master possessed Dr. Fairlane, and in exchange The Director gave Jane an item from her world, a piece of an artifact she called Frostmourne, a sword that could entrap souls within it. The shard was encased in a purple crystal. She entrusted it to Jane and said that she had no knowledge of how to use it, but was pretty sure that Charles or V.S. could figure a way to use it. Jane was then dismissed and returned to finishing her report with Agent Ivanova. Before leaving, Jane checked in with Chuck Taylor and confirmed that she could continue to stay in his apartment as long as she needed to, after she told him that she was doing so in the first place.
Meanwhile, Andromeda returned to her apartment, finding Siobhan Chu asleep. Andromeda woke Siobhan up, and told her about Patricia and Kemmler. Siobhan didn’t believe her, asking for proof beyond the covienent glimpse of Patricia and stating it could even have been an illusion for the groups benefit. Andromeda convinced Siobhan to call out of work for a few days, though Siobhan wanted more solid proof from Andromeda by the time the 4 days were up.
Charles, researching into how to deal with Kemmler, Charles deduced that an authentic Faerie Circle, could be utilized, after a ritual, to detect if Patricia was in fact possessed. Conferring with V.S. the two surmised that this ritual could also be used to temporarily trap Kemmler’s spirit, should it be convinced to leave Patricia’s body, but neither could find a means of doing this. SOmething was missing. Charles also remembered that he knew someone in the city familiar with Faerie Circles, Jenny Chang, as well as perhaps Aspen, Drucillia, or one of the Ladies of Faerie.
That evening, group met up again at The Flame. Over another of Cameron’s dinners ( a quick one to cook), the group shared information. Charles shared his and V.S.‘s discoveries, followed by Jane revealing the Shard of Frostmourne. This was followed by David reminding everyone of Serena’s ability to dispose of unwanted and dangerous magic items.
A discussion then ensued how to separate Kemmler from Patricia, and David asked Andromeda if she knew of any Greek stuff that could help them. With Charles help, Andromeda deduced that the goddess, Psyche, wife of Eros (son of Aphrodite) could aid them in that area. At this time, Cameron interrupted with concern that, “The Hammer has not yet fallen on us.” and wondering what Kemmler was up to since he had not dispatched forces to attack them. Andromeda then told the group about telling Siobhan. The topic was then brought back to Cameron’s concern, and Jane brought up that the ‘other shoe’ might involve Siobhan. Cameron reminded the group that The Master was aware of all their loved ones, though the group reasoned that Siobhan and The Master had entirely too much contact with each other and this elevated everyone’s concern. Then Jane proposed that Siobhan might very well have gone to confront Patricia after Andromeda left. After some thought, Andromeda thought that Siobhan might have been humoring her, and could very well have gone to confront Patricia. David then suggested that perhaps Andromeda should check in on Siobhan. Andromeda then called Siobhan to find out how she was doing. Siobhan seemed fine, asking “When are you coming home?”
After hanging up, the group returned to discussing how to proceed, and talking to Psyche. Charles suggested approaching Psyche through Athena, as Andromeda said the two were on good terms. Jane then asked Andromeda if, “Psyche was on the Shower Network?” Andromeda deduced the best means of contacting Psyche would be to invoke her somewhere sacred to her, and further research revealed that the most likely candidate would be a historic site in Queens, an office once used by Sigmund Freud.
Andromeda then returned home to pick up The Spear of Athena, only to encounter the Building Superintendent preparing to knock on her door. Apparently, Siobhan had been bouncing a ball off of the walls, and several neighbors had complained. Andromeda then went inside and took the ball form Siobhan, who whined “I’m bored. Let’s do something”. Andromeda let slip she was going to go meet “one of the Gods” and invited Siobhan along. Siobhan eagerly agreed and while she went to change, Androemda grabbed The Spear of Athena and prepared herself for meeting Psyche
Andromeda and Siobhan arrived at The Office. to discover it closed. Andromeda confirmed they needed to get inside, which caused Siobhan to throw a spell at the door, shattering it. Siobhan then hexed all the electronics in the building, and the two entered. Siobhan then created light. Andromeda invoked Psyche, and shortly thereafter Andromeda found herself lying on a couch with Psyche, in a toga with butterfly wings, asking her what she wanted. She also advised Siobhan get some serious psycho-analysis. Andromeda then told Psyche that they needed her help in some way to turn a faerie circle into a soul trap. Psyche said she could assist them with just this, but first they would need to do something for her. The Watchers Council had recently placed in their Vault in their Headquarters that was sacred to Psyche, A Pen once belonging to Sigmund Freud. Andromeda agreed to cajole her companions into doing this. Psyche then looked at Siobhan, who had been standing there, and declared that Siobhan was out of balance. She said she could fix Siobhan, but there was a risk, also stating that Siobhan would die within a year were she not helped. Psyche offered to help Siobhan, and Andromeda accepted Psyche’s offer and Psyche and Siobhan disappeared. Andromeda then departed.
Meanwhile, Charles contacted the Golden Dragon, and was transferred to Jenny. A meeting was arranged at the Golden Dragon for lunchtime.
At 9:30, Andromeda returned to The Flame, and told them about meeting with Psyche. Cameron asked about perhaps asking Jason Spiridakos, Andromeda’s father and a member of The Watcher’s Council. The group decided to call it a night and meet at 10 AM the next morning at the Shop Around The Corner
David left to meet with Serena, and after some time of casual conversation, David dropped about having to get the Pen from The Watcher’s, and after a long spout of Elvish, Serena told David she would do what she could to find out something to help him. David then spent the evening with Serena.
At 9AM, Jane went to Abendana Imports to speak with Lady Lyla. Jane called in one of the questions she was still owed, asking where the Headquarters of The Watcher’s Council was,. Lady Lyla responded with “The current head of The watcher’s Council inherited it from her father, who, prior to his death, built them a new secreted Headquarters here in New York. His name was George Steinbrenner.” Things clicked in Jane’s mind and she deduced that the Watcher’s Headquarters was Yankee Stadium
At 10 AM, the group met up at The Shop Around The Corner, and after getting their collection of coffee and pastries, sat down and discussed what they know. Jane shared the information regarding Yankee Stadium and Andromeda and David decided to see what they could find regarding Yankee Stadium. The group then split up, resolving to meet again the next morning at a random restaurant in Manhattan.
At Noon, Charles went to the Golden Dragon for his meeting with Jenny Chang. After ordering some lunch, Charles told her about his needing a Faerie Circle. Jenny told him of one that she knows of behind the Ampitheatre in Central Park.
Andromeda took to the Net, looking for information related ot Yankee Stadium and it’s construction. She found on one Fan site a guy who swears up and down that The Bat (a metal Replica of a Louisville Slugger that stood outside the Old Stadium and was left standing) was torn down and back the next day. She also found rumors of entrances into the Stadium form the Subway into areas beneath the Stadium, or the dugout or locker rooms, as well as people saying there were secret entrances into areas beneath the Stadium form the belachers.
Meanwhile, David tried to obtain the TRUE blueprints to Yankee Stadium and the areas beneath it. While no TRUE blueprints were available, several blueprints with conflicting information were discovered as was a name – Maxwell Jones, who was a forman on the construction, fired from his job, who had a most definite unlawful dismissal case for several millions of dollars, which he never pursued (being the type who would love easy money like that) .
Casing Jones’ house, David found the house was large, expensive, had a inground pool with jacuzzi, a two car garage with a new Hummer and Porsche, and a wife who could easily work for Victoria’s Secret (her age between 16 and 21). As she was sunbathing, David went to slip inside, noticing that the security system was off (ADT) as the back door was left open by the girl. As he watched, a large Golden Retriever entered the house, for which David was happy he had a drugged dog treat on him. Opening the front door, he tossed in the treat, which the dog gobbled up. After the dog fell asleep, David slipped inside, as the girl turned to lie on her stomach, and David, his attention drawn to the girls movement as she turned onto her stomach, he noticed a succubus tail peeking from beneath her bikini. Snooping aorund, David discovered that the guy has $50,000.00 deposited into his bank account every Friday (and it looked like it was made via the ATM) and a picture of Maxwell, the girl, and George Steinbrenner. David copied the bank information, and turned to leave, detecting he was not alone. HE assumed panther form as the succubus hit him with Lust. He fled from the house.
