(Rewind for apology)
Andromeda looked at everyone and admitted to royally screwing up, admitting she was prepared to quit everything with no determination of what she would do after. She told them about Chiron laying into her “as she deserved”. She talked about how she’d been pretty lucky, the supernatural leaving her pretty much alone until she became involved with the group. She admitted she had deluded herself into believing she could live a normal life. Jane reminded Andromeda of the time she killed Lazarus Jacobs on a city street and The Agency made it go away. Jane and Charles raised the question of whether she could even really give it up. She then personally apologized to Charles, thanking him for the times he stood up for her. Then looked at Terri, admitting they’ve never gotten along, taking the blame for it, though admitting they both do look at the world differently, expressing to Terri how she wants to change that. This caused Jane to ask, “This doesn’t mean you’re gonna start telling everything that wants to eat us everything?” which caused Terri to throw a grape at Jane. Andromeda continued, looking at Terri, and requesting to start from scratch with a clean slate. Terri said, “We’ll see how this goes”
(Resuming from last session)
The group gathered their weapons and returned to the Lakeshore, only to see Jason gone. The group debated what to do, Charles suggesting they camp on the island. Terri, convinced the group was in The NeverNever, stated “Camping in the NeverNever is always a bad thing”.
Putting her faith in Athena, Andromeda felt herself guided near the mess hall. The group debated what to do with Jennifer Garcia, eventually deciding to bring her with them, as Charles deduced that the island would probably go insubstantial after the group left. Terri shifted into worgen form, hefting Garcia over her shoulder.
Terri conjured a second ice bridge and the group returned to the shoreline. As the group returned to the darkend shore (1 AM, no moon), David sensed Jason up near the Mess Hall. Arriving at the mess hall, David no longer sensed Jason, and they found the door to the hall, closed. Terri goes, “Who wants to go into the dark, spooky building first?” Jane volunteered, and discovered the door locked. Everyone gestured at David, who moved up to the door, saying “He’s gotta be miles form here, what could happen”, picking the lock, which suddenly opened, revealing Jason, who stabbed at David, hitting him, instilling shakiness and a fear of knives in him, and knocking him to the ground. Terri, in Worgen form, stood above David, straddling him, and stabbing at him, connecting, hurting him. Cameron took one of her knives, and hurled it at Jason, the blade slamming into the wood of the door next to Terri’s head. David, on the ground, attempted to slip a grenade into Jason’s pocket, with a stone knife between the grenade and Jason. Failing this, he turned into panther form and fled into the darkness, leaving the grenade (and knife) behind at Terri’s feet.. V.S. covered the group in armor to protect them from Jason’s attacks. Jane stabbed her spear at Jason, missing., and it thrusting just beneath Terri’s right elbow into the door frame. Charles conjured ghostly fingers to pick up the grenade and had it tossed into the Mess Hall. Andromeda loaded one of the bows she made, firing it at Jason, the arrow flying over Terri’s right shoulder, into Jason. Jason retaliated, by stabbing into Terri, causing Terri to get injured ad really angry.
Terri stabbed at Jason, hurting him. Cameron shoved Terri out of the way, knocking her to the ground, and lading atop Jason, the two falling to the ground, as she stabbed at him, causing Jason to take pause at suffering damage. V.S. threw a spell on Jason to hinder his ability to injure anyone. Jane stepped into the Mess Hall and stabbed at Jason, causing sucking chest wound. Charles conjured a mystical Red Coat to charge Jason with his spear, destroying him. There was a loud scream of an injured Child dying. The clothing deteriorated leaving on a machete and hockey mask behind, as suddenly, the sun was revealed and everyone noticed it was 2PM on June 6 (1 hour after the group arrived). Charles and V.S. put their heads together, deducing to destroy the mask and machete, they needed to put them out in the lake by the island.. The others then tracked down David, Andromeda awakening him with Smelling Salts.
Jennifer Garcia in hand, the group returned to their vehicles and left the camp (even as they saw the buildings begin to deteriorate from not being maintained since the 1980s)’’. Finding a local motel, Jane registered two rooms for the group. David took up a position to watch outside, while Andromeda checked her for belongings, finding only her wallet with her ID, some money, and Credit Cards. Jennifer remained in a state of shock, Examining her, Andromeda deduced that, with the proper items from the pharmacy, she could bring Jennifer out of it. Jane went to the local pharmacy, after asking the front desk for directions, and returned 20 in later with the required pharmaceuticals.
Jennifer regained consciousness, apparently suffering from amnesia. She had no memory of who she was, who the group was, or where she was, only remembering Freddy. Jennifer asked why she was bound, and then asked to use the bathroom. Terri and Jane accompanied her into the bathroom, as David, and Charles debated mind scanning her.
David, Andromeda, and Charles, left to return to the Camp to look for Jennifer and the Shop Agents vehicles. Jennifer, in the cramped bathroom with Jane and Terri, finished with the toilet and said she was done. Terri then began to strip Jennifer, causing Jennifer to begin to scream. Jane stopped Terri, asking her, “What are you doing?” Reluctantly, Terri freed Jennifer, but neither she nor Jane, left, as she cleaned up. Jennifer then stood up, straightening her clothes. Cameron came in, read Jennifer’s tag, then said she would be back with clothes fro Jennifer.
Meanwhile, back at Camp Crystal Lake, David, Jane, and Charles, walked around for an hour, when they found the three vehicles Garcia and company used to come to the camp. Breaking into the vehicles, they discovered two cases of sub machine huns, pistols, and ammunition. Investigating Jennifer’s car, David and Charles found a secret compartment with a cell phone, several passports, a pistol with a clip and no serial number, and $5000 in hundreds. A pathway led from the vehicles into the camp, where they came across a piece of cloth from someone’s clothing (looked like Jennifer’s) and a cell phone on the phone. A quick examination of the basement revealed the computer totally destroyed. Charles examined it with the site, confirming it had been involved in Technomancy rituals.
Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Cameron returned with a t-shirt and sweat pants for Jennifer to change into while Terri watched. Jennifer asked Terri and Jane what was to become of her, and they said they would probably get her the help she needs to recover her memory. Jennifer told Terri she was very cold, and Jane said she was Winter, which confused Jennifer. Terri then shifted into Worgen form, which caused Jennifer to scream and faint. Jane then filed a mini-report detailing the past excursions as well as a fictional route for bring Jennifer to The Agency. At this point, the others returned.
Andromeda examined the two cell phones in the other hotel room. She discovered the phone from the secret compartment was an unused burner phone. The other phone contained the text messages Jennifer sent to Andromeda, as well as a record of calls received maybe an hour and 30 minutes before the group arrived at Camp Crystal Lake. Andromeda then tracked Harrel’s phone to the Flame of Knowledge. V.S. got immediately concerned, wanting to head back immediately, though the others pointed out it was probably a trap.
Cameron then proposed using Jennifer as bait to lay a trap for Harrel. V.S. pointed out that Jennifer probably had all her memories wiped out by Freddy. Charles looked at Jennifer with the Sight, confirming she was a very strongly mentally traumatized individual, a blank slate almost.
While this was being discussed, Jane realized the number for Katherine S. was the same number she had for reaching Katherine Sanguinpeidra. The group debated having Andromeda spoof the location and call the number. Jane then then brought up about Katherine’s corpse being dumped on her while the group was being held by Cameron’s Sisters. Cameron pointed out that Juliet may not have reported Katherine’s betrayal as she was on the “Skynet Path”.
Charles returned the group to discussing using Garcia as bait to entrap Harrel. David proposed leaking the information of the group returning Jennifer to NYC to The Shop and the group debated this.
At this point, Cameron spoke up, mimicking Jennifer’s vice perfectly, “I could always call in, saying that I was captured, my team eliminated, and I escaped. I need you to pick me up. Meet me at this location.” The group liked this idea, and Jane pointed out that it would be better to execute the plan in New York City, rather than in Upstate. Andromeda and Terri pointed out the advantages of less observation out in the countryside. Charles echoed the sentiment, not wanting to jeopardize 6 million people again.
Jane then proposed taking Jennifer through the NeverNever to New York City. Terri and V.S. deduced there were several Winter and Summer portals in this area. Terri and Jane discussed taking Jennifer through Winter to NYC. Terri provided Jane a location, and Jane arranged pickup for Garcia. The pickup was arranged for the loading dock for Madame Tussaud’s, where there is a winter portal. Jennifer was escorted by Charles, Jane, Terri, and V.S. who dropped her off with The Agency and returned to the motel.
Andromeda pulled up an area map and after perusing it, Jane pointed out that the abandoned Amusement Park (Time Town). The group arranged for Cameron to call Harrel, mimicking Jennifer’s voice, to persuade him to come get her, claiming she escaped from the group, lost them, and was holed up in Time Town. The group went and scoped out Time Town, getting the lay of the land, Terri discovering a working pay phone outside the main gate. David discovered that several parts of the park still had power.
Cameron made the call, convincing Harrel that she was Jennifer and needed to be picked up. Cameron reported to the others that Harrel would be there within the hour, coming by helicopter, and indicating that he and Jennifer should execute Operation Bug Out.
Everyone took up positions and waited. Around 4:30 PM, Harrel’s helicopter became visible, landing just behind the abandoned Carousel. Shortly after landing, the side doors opened, as Terri encasing the area the helicopter landed in in ice. Cameron took aim at the pilot, fired her sniper rifle, and put a bullet through the pilot’s cranium. V.S. enspelled those inside the helicopter to prevent attacks. David took aim at the tail section of the helicopter with his LAW rocket (from Cameron) and destroying the tail section. Jane leaped form her hiding spot amongst the games and attacked the nearest agent, knocking him to the ground (unconscious and bleeding). Harrel tried to emerge from the helicopter, but could not get through the ice. Andromeda leaped form her hiding spot in the Log Flume, leaping at the other agent, knocking him unconcious. Charles summoned his spectral choking hands on Harrel, rendering him unconscious.
The group gathered up their prisoners and prepared to question Harrel.
