V.S. saw all the people on camera phones filming the scene, and hexed the crap out of them. Charles gave Cameron his coat to cover her face, as everyone (minus Jane) scattered. Terri, Cameron, and V.S. returned to the van. Cameron asked Terri to return her to her apartment. Charles and Andromeda hailed a cab and continued on to Dr. Blake’s. David found a convienent alleyway to change back, contacted Andromeda for Dr. Blake’s address, then took the subway.
In the van, V.S. noticed Cameron was ashamed for him to see her like that. He reassured her it was alright, and made sure she would recover from her injuries. She assured him she would. After this, V.S. called David for the address and met up on the Subway riding to Dr. Blake’s.
Jane filled Detective Susan Ivanova
in on the situation on 32nd Street, and then joined the rest of the group at Dr. Blake’s, shortly after they all arrived.
The group rendezvoused at Dr. Blake’s, just as Andromeda’s phone rang, it was Susanna Hoffman
wanting Andromeda to prove to her friends they have been hanging out. The girls didn’t believe her until a picture with today’s paper (courtesy of Jane and her badge) was sent to the young girl. The teens were ecstatic and Andromeda promised them that they would all get together sometime.
After this brief diversion, the group entered the rather bland but typical doctor’s office. The older woman behind the glass asked who they were, and Andromeda gave her name, claiming to be a friend, wanting to see Dr. Blake. Ms. Thompson, the receptionist, called Dr. Blake over her headset, and then told the group he was busy with a patient, had several other appointments tonite, and was unable to see them. V.S. asked for a pen, and touched Ms. Thompson, verifying she was human. At the same time, Jane, scoping out the room, noticed two diploma’s on the wall behind Ms. Thompson, one for Dr. Donald Blake, and one for his assistant, Juliet Sommers. Jane also found a pamphlet for the practice, with Dr. Blake and Juliet’s pictures. The face for Juliet was the same as the other ‘terminator’. V.S. then opened The Sight, and saw the healing light throughout the practice, the music changing to calming harp music, and Ms. Thompson looking like she did, a happy grandmother, thinking of her 6 children.
The group took seats to wait to see if D. Blake could get a break. Jane texted The Agency
an update on the situation, including Juliet’s presence, requesting a background check. At the same time, Andromeda performed a search online, discovering Juliet’s full background, as well as several pictures of the same woman, obviously 10 years older than the ‘girl’ the group has seen. Shortly afterwords, Jane received a full info dump from Chuck Taylor
confirming Andromeda’s information, and proving that the Juliet Sommers they had met could not be the same woman. Jane then requested that The Agency run connections between known operatives of The Shop
and Lisa Williams, Juliet Sommers, and Dr. Blake. About 15 minutes later Jane received a response from The Agency – Lisa Williams was a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard School of Medicine, taught both Juliet Sommers and Dr. Blake. She consulted to The Shop on several occasions, regarding The human mind and human thought processes. She died 5 years ago, of a heart attack. Juliet Sommers, through several different Government Agencies, worked on similar projects (though she thought it was a DOD
Project for helping soldiers with PTSD
). Dr. Blake repeatedly treated agents of The Shop (though no proof he knew who they worked for). Jane then recommended to her superiros to heighten the watch level of Dr. Blake’s facility. Blake peeked out of his office to confer with Ms. Thompsen as to where his next patient was, and Andromeda caught his attention, and convinced him to speak with her for a moment.
Andromeda entered the room, and asked how Alleria Windrunner
was, was shown a video shot of the room Alleria was in, with the Orderly sitting outside of it. After a few moments of ‘catching up on old times’, Dr. Blake cancelled his next appointment. Shortly thereafter, moans of passion from Andromeda came form Blake’s office. It was at this time that Blake’s next patient, Siobhan Chu
entered. As she questioned Charles what everyone was doing there, she heard one of Andromeda’s moans of pleasure. At this point, David and V.S. left, just before Siobhan said, “I…KNOW
..that moan…” and then hexed everything in the facility to oblivion. Siobhan pushed her way past Ms. Thompson, and shouted a word in Chinese, causing the door to Blake’s office to explode into the office. Siobhan entered, catching Andromeda and Blake in the midst of passion, and only the intervention of Charles, prevented Siobhan from killing both of them. After a few minutes of talking with Charles, Siobhan said, “FINE
!” and left, getting in her car and leaving 1/2 the rubber on her tires on the roadway. Seeing this, V.S. and David returned to rejoin the group, as Andromeda, still dressing, ran out to try and stop Siobhan.
Charles called Dr Patricia Fairlane
and filled her in on the situation. After thanking God that Charles was there the prevent Siobhan from doing something rash. Dr. Blake seemed rather upset that Andromeda did not tell him she was involved with someone. Andromeda picked up a burner phone, and then went to take a walk. Dr. Blake apologized repeatedly to the group for what happened, as V.S. seemed more affected by Dr. Blake’s continued lack of pants (he was in his underwear). Jane texted Chuck to see about arranging for The Agency to be involved in the replacement of Dr. Blake’s door, as well as to look into Andromeda’s calls, as well as Dr. Juliet Sommers. As the group left, Charles looked at Dr. Blake with The Sight, seeing a typical Son of Hermes, who cares deeply for his patients Chuck quickly got back to Jane, letting her know that the call Andromeda made to Dr. Blake was rerouted to a burner phone. Jane asked Chuck to keep an eye out on Andromeda’s temporary phone, specifically for possible involvement of the Anonymous Group
At this time, Drucillia
returned, reporting in to the ‘The Celery Queen’ that the fae following Lisa Williams followed her to 32nd Street, where she ‘blowned up’. The others, looking for The Tablet, followed the trail from JFK
Airport to the Columbus Circle Subway Station, where they lost the trail on the 1st level subway platform. Terri figured that this meant it got on a subway train and the faeries did not have the patience to check each train.
As the group rode up the elevator to speak with Alleria, Jane recalled (triggered by the links between the Juliets and Lisas) that there was an intern in the Science Division of The Shop, named Cameron Jameson, who from two brief encounter’s in The Break Room at The Shop, looked like the group’s Cameron. Jane pointed this out, and David suggested that perhaps the real persons were the DNA
donors for the skin on the ‘Terminators’.
Charles checked with the orderly outside, a Mr. Hobbes, about Lucy. Hobbes reported she is calm, requests alot of Fantasy movies, and is polite, friendly, and a nice person. The group entered to a typical, ‘Hotel like’ room with a bed, table and chair, lamp, TV with cable and DVD
player (Lord of the Rings and Willow) and all the Harry Potter books on her nightstand (one open on the arm of the chair she was sitting in). Jane spotted the camera spaced to observe the room, while giving the occupant an area of privacy for changing clothes. Charles examined the room and Alleria with The Sight, seeing the healing light same as in Dr. Blake’s office, and seeing Alleria as an armored WoW High Elf, with Bow and sword, with many gaping and bleeding wounds on her head.
A simple conversation with Lucy happened, the group assured that she was healing and well cared for. The group spent time visiting with Lucy, deducing she doesn’t remember much at this time and still early in her treatment.
During her walk, Andromeda received a call from Cameron, explaining that she was leaving town, in response to the recent attacks of ‘Terminators’ , and to contact her when the Calliope issue has been resolved. Jane got a call from The Agency, confirming Cameron’s decision to leave, with The Agency’s backing. V.S. received a tear filled voice mail from Cameron, asking him to forgive her, professing her love for him, and explaining her situation and decision, and that Andromeda has a means of contacting her. Prior to getting together, the group arranged a meeting for 2PM, Charles informing Susanna to arrive at 3PM.
V.S. went to St Patricks Cathedral
and entered, feeling almost immediately to the Shrine of St. Peter, and as he approached, he noticed a man lighting a candle and praying, praying for V.S.
V.S. lighted several candles, knelled, and prayed. After a while, V.S. addressed the man, who knew alot about V.S. He also attributed Cameron’s soul to the actions of V.S., which amazed him. The man introduced himself as Tod Jiscari, and wanted to know if V.S. “wanted to side with the forces of Heaven against the forces of Hell”. At Mr. Jiscari’s suggestion, V.S. opened his sight and saw Jiscari as who he truly was, Judas Iscariot,
saw him throw away the 30 pieces of silver, hang himself, then be brought back to life by the archangel Uriel, who informed him he was now a soldier of Heaven and had to do enough good and save enough souls to equal the evil he committed. V.S.‘s sight closed automatically after this, and he (in a high squeaky voice) accepted the offer. Juscari then gave him the Texas Ranger’s Badge of John Reid (aka The Lone Ranger) and told him as long as he wore it, he would be able to wield Soulfire. Juscari then explained that while V.S. was interested in destroying demons, they were more interested in saving souls and combating the evil committed by the Forces of Hell. After verifying V.S. had no more questions, he left. V.S. proceeded to pray for the next hour.
Later that night, Charles received a call from Patricia, telling him that she had recovered Siobhan, though Andromeda’s apartment was thoroughly trashed. She said she was making sure Siobhan spent the next few days with her.
9Am the next morning, David met up with Robert MacDougal at JFK
. The two returned to David’s apartment at 18 w136th Street
and after removing the money and putting it in a suitcase, MacDougal disclosed the name of the person who hired them for the theft, stating ‘leave my name out of this. One does not cross The Luciano Crime Syndicate
lightly.’ David confimed with MacDougal, that the acquisition was easier than MacDougal expected and did not require anything beyond the ‘usual toys’. After a discussion about David and Serena Elessidil
and MacDougal asked David to look him up before he MacDougal returned to London, also confirming he was on the guest list, should David and Serena tie the not.
About 10Am, David called Jane, and arranged a meeting between the two, in the park across from FBI
Headquarters, prior to the group meeting at Charles’. At said meeting, David asked Jane to have her sources look into the current locations of Virginia Baker and Anna Valmont.
At 2PM, the group arrived at Charles’ apartment, V.S. bringing donuts. As he was entering the building, David spotted Andromeda passing by the building, and caught up to her, asking her how she was. He told her, “You should probably talk with someone caring and understanding, unfortunately, all you have is me.” David continued to talk to Andromeda, trying to calm her, Andromeda still refusing to go in, but eventually telling David about Cameron’s departure. David then stopped following Andromeda, saying, “If you want to talk, I’m good at listening. If you want to continue to wallow in self-pity, go ahead. If you want to help someone important to your people, we have a meeting at 2….It’s up to you”.
10 minutes later, David joined the rest of the group in Charles’ apartment, telling the rest that “I ran into Narcissus on my way here and she is wallowing in Self-Pity”. Once the discussion of Andromeda’s wallowing in self pity ended, David shared his information on Lucciano being the purchaser of the Tablets. The group debated the possibility of someone having some kind of protection from The Gods, or the idea that Athena’s protection had been removed. Shortly after this, there was a ringing at the door, and the group realized it was 3PM, and Charles let Susanna in.
After explaining Andromeda’s absence, and giving Susanna the number to reach Andromeda at, the group told her about Lucciano’s involvement. After she got over her shock, she revealed that her auguries and inquiries revealed that someone had stolen the Tablets from someone else, the group figuring it was Lucciano it was stolen from. After revealing one of her sources of information was Dragonflys Gentlemans Club
(and that Dragonfly offered her a job as a dancer) she revealed that she had discovered the thief was a Halfblood Son of Ares who serves Set. She was not able to get a name however, though she did confirm that Lucciano had also gotten the information (2 hours before she did). Susanna then stepped out and called Andromeda, who convinced Andromeda to return. The group brought her up to speed and then continued their discussion regarding the Tablet. It was debated whether it was replaced by a fake, or if he was aware of its magical properties at all.
Why Lucciano took the Tablet was debated, Charles bringing up Lucky’s desire to sign The Accords as a Freeholding Lord, The Lord of New York City, and angling to set himself up as ‘The Protector of The City From Evil". Terri then shared her information from Drucillia. Andromeda borrowed Charles shower as the ’Shower Whisperer’ to contact Chiron. She learned form Chiron, that there was a Son of Ares who followed Set, named Curtis Manning
, but he was killed by Federal Agent Jack Bauer about 8 years ago. Manning was a Federal Agent, who transparently tried to kill a Middle Eastern Terrorist who was pardoned by then President Wayne Palmer.
Meanwhile, V.S. approached Charles, and asked him “What do you know about God?” Charles confirmed he was a person of faith, believed in God, etc. The two took a walk, where V.S. told Charles about his meeting the previous night (minus Cameron’s sword) and his recruitment. V.S. asked Charles, “Be honest, how fucked am I?” Charles responded with, “this job has a better retirement plan”.
