As Andromeda confirmed that neither Rebecca Abendana or Adrika Niranjana were Rebecca Charles, V.S. decided to discover where Charles’ portal went to, deducing it went into the real of Valhamarkham, Demon Prince of Murder. In exchange for a description of Rebecca, Terri bargained with Aspen to have the City install motion sensor lights to shine on Aspen’s tree whenever anyone goes by the tree. The description of Rebecca Charles was drawn by Terri, along with the Black Trans Am she arrived in, which Aspen gleefully identified as “KARR! It talks and everything. Real conversations.” This triggered something in Cameron, who recognized the name and described a near indestructible vehicle inhabited by an AI, with the same hardening against hexxing that she had. Out of frustration, V.S. mentioned to Terri about being willing to make a deal with The Leanansidhe, who Terri summoned. Lea showed up, and offered to make a deal with V.S., who refused. She offered to make a deal with Cameron, but V.S. convinced her not to,. Lea then departed, followed shortly by David. The group then arranged to meet up at The Flame of Knowledge at 8AM.
At 8AM, everyone arrived at The Flame to sit down to another of Cameron’s breakfasts. Andromeda received an e-mail that her apartment at 55 Central Park West was able for her to move back in on. At 8:15, Jane still had not arrived. Terri tried reaching Jane, only to reach her voicemail. Cameron was also unable to reach her. David pointed out that he had a second tracker for the briefcases. Cameron pointed out that KARR could probably identify each of them if they staked out Aspen’s Tree, waiting for Rebecca Charles to come back to pickup the Cases.
Meanwhile, David called Dr Patricia Fairlane, who told David she’s only glanced at the book, but from what she saw it was a bunch of journal entries, covering money transactions. David asked her to keep an eye out for the name Rebecca Charles.
At 8:45 the group decided to go and look over Jane’s apartment, as she still had not arrived. Arriving at Jane’s, the group noticed the door to Jane’s apartment was broken in. Inside, evidence of a fierce struggle was found, all the electronics in the apartment blown out, and a headless corpse (head found later and identified as Robert Sisko, Night Guard at The Empire State Building. Terri, in dog form, also recognized the scent of three other people, one of which was Adrika Niranjana. V.S. took note of the amount of blood present for the decapitation.
V.S., using some of Jane’s hair from a brush, to perform a magical tracking spell, which pointed to New Jersey, then began spinning around. V.S. then rummaged through the fridge, grabbing some celery and asking Terri to summon Drucillia. Dru arrived shortly after, and had to be invited inside by Andromeda (whose spear was providing a threshhold). After gobbling her celery, Dru darted off to try and track Jane. While waiting for Dru’s return, Terri decayed the body to nothing. Cameron then called the Police regarding the break in. Terri then contacted Detective Susan Ivanova to let her know about the incident, telling her about the true conflict with Sisko and telling her that Terri had destroyed the body. Detective Ivanova was a bit put back by this. The detective said she would look into it, and hung up.
Shortly after this, Drucilliareturned, her armor scorched and burned. She reported that Jane’s trail led into the Meadowlands, which was an area forbidden to The Fae, and was the domain of The Jersey Devil, who’s domain grew from the Pinelands to there when the hockey team named itself after him.
Piling into Terri’s car, the group left New York and ventured into The Meadowlands. Arriving at the Sports Arena, David and Terri became a bit uncomfortable. V.S. deduced that the group had in fact entered the domain to The Jersey Devil. V.S. cast a tracking spell which directed the group towards Xanadu, the abandoned Amusement Park/Mall being built across from the Sports Arena.
The group made their way to unfinished Pedestrian cross way. Coming to an unfinished section, Terri summoned ice to cover the pedway, including the gaps from where it was unfinished. The group crossed, Andromeda losing her footing (breaking a heel in the process), plunging through an opening toward the Turnpike. Cameron grabber her by the ankle, preventing her from plummeting to the highway below, wrenching her ankle (and causing Andromeda’s skirt to fall towards her head, inadvertently mooning the Turnpike). Looking at this, Terri noticed a gray sedan parked next to her car. Cameron zoomed in on the car, ran the tags, and identified the owner as Karl Kolchak.
The group took a service door to a ladder down to the ground. Finding a service entrance, David found the alarms on it disabled and the door unlocked. The door opened onto a dark service tunnel. V.S. grabbed a brick lying nearby and conjured light into it. Coming to a door, the group entered into the main area of one of the amusement parks. David assumed Cat form, as the group began making their way through the unfinished Park. Terri took point (in dog form) followed up by David (in cat form). Terri detected movement up ahead of her, Cameron detecting movement to her right, before the ambush was sprung. Terri ran up to one of the men (in black fatigues with AK-47 and Night Vision Goggles) and threw a sleep spell on the area where she noticed the two men. Cameron fired at one of the men she detected, killing him.
The Terrorists opened fire on the group, one hitting Terri, spraining her left wrist and inflicting a flesh wound on her left arm. Two of the terrorists fired on V.S., one missing him, the other hitting him, spraining his wrist. Two opened fire on David, missing him. Two others opened fire on Terri, missing. Two others fired on David, one hitting him, causing him to strain a paw and grazing his side.
David tried to hide from the terrorists and took cover. Cameron removed the silencer from her M-16 and threw a grenade at the terrorist who fired on her, the explosion blinding David. V.S. threw his light source in the direction of the men who fired on him and then hit their are with his rain of fire, rendering them unconscious. Terri raced up to the gunman who resisted her sleep attack and hit him with her claws, rendering him unconscious Two of the gunmen fired on V.S., missing. Two gunmen fired on Terri, both hitting, spraining her wrist and Breaking her left forearm. Spear in hand, Andromeda raced up the workings of an unfinished roller coaster and stabbed one of the gunmen, killing him.The remaining two gunmen looked for David, one finding him and hitting him, injuring his paw and putting a bullet hole in his right ear.
Terri and Andromeda noticed the ones they had dropped began to having blinking lights blinking and beeping. David continued to hide while Cameron fired on the other gunman need V.S. brought a rain of fire down on the remaining gunmen, who also joined the beeping crew. The vests all exploded, V.S. pushing Cameron out at the last moment as the others barely escaped. V.S. broke his wrist and was trapped beneath a pile of rubble.
